Hi all,
After this post, and one more about tradition (hopefully) next week, my weekly blog posts will become limited to my Sunday sermon texts for a while. This is because a writing project that has gone through two iterations is now ready to truly become a book, and any midweek writing time I will have available will need to go into that. Prayers appreciated.
I also wanted to let you know that I will have an article coming out in the August edition of The Vashon Loop, entitled “Finding God in Nature…and People.” I will post when that comes out. I really appreciate The Vashon Loop. More so than the mainstream island paper, The Beachcomber, I feel the Loop really reflects the island’s culture in all its variety and malfunction. I wrote for them somewhat often decades ago, when Hamish Todd ran it. And now that the paper has been resurrected for a while, I have written for them twice (here and here).
And lastly, I wrote a brief book review for my friend Daniel Isgrigg’s book, The Assemblies of God: Our Story on Amazon (though for some reason I wrote under my pseudonym, Nichole Ivaska…). It’s a great little book, and will make an appearance in next week’s blog post on tradition. Check out my brief review. And more importantly, check out Dr. Isgrigg’s book. (He also wrote one of the recommendations on the back of my book.)
Peace in Christ,
Mike
